STONECREST EDUCATIONAL FUND
Thank you to all for participating in the FUN DAY at the clubhouse this past Saturday. A good time was had by all. Dr. Frank Richards of the Carter Center intrigued and entertained the children and adults with his stories, paintings and worm specimens (Oh my!). He gave good reasons for hand washing and we learned to be thankful for pharmaceuticals. Eight scholarships were awarded. Each worth $400.00. The Grand Door Prize winner was selected and announced. That is four tickets to the Georgia Aquarium. Winners are listed at our website (www.pscca-ef.com). (Scroll up to see the winners)
The chess lessons by Mr. Julius Lee was well attended and showed that he is a captivating and effective teacher. Those already skilled at chess enjoyed a few games nearby.
There was a fierce competition in bid whist and at least one Boston was run. It remains unsettled as to just who is the best bid whist player east of the Pecos river. We may have to call on Judge Roy Bean to settle this. Or we could have another challenge if Miss Susan agrees.
